The entry-level ScanJet 5p's optical resolution is 300 dpi, interpolated to 1,200 dpi, with a 24-bit color depth. One indication of its home/home-office orientation is the lack of a document feeder or transparency options. Another, more welcome one, is its small size: At 5 by 12 by 19 inches (HWD), the 5p is a fine solution when desktop space is at a premium.

CFM-Twain commercial version works perfectly with the scaner!

Works fine with eCS & CFM twain

Tame give the best resolution in my case.

PMView and Embellish give a distorded view.

Works fine with Impos/2 - the best scanning tool for OS/2. Works fine with Firereader and Cuneiform OCR'es in win-os2 using AccuPage interface.
