If anyone has some time over the holidays and wants to do something to help the OS/2 community, a great way would be to write an article for the VOICE Newsletter or OS/2 eZine. You don't have to be a professional writer to do this. You just need a story to tell.

Do you have some new hardware or a new software application that you would like to let others know works under OS/2 or eComStation? A How-To article is easy to write, just keep a record of everything you did to get something working. Review articles can help generate interest in a particular piece of software or let people know what hardware works with OS/2.

Vielleicht wuъten andere davon, aber es war neu fuer mich, dass IBM jetzt mit alten und uebriggebliebenen Waren und Teilen bei eBay hausieren geht.

Es ist nichts dabei, was direkt mit OS/2 zu tun hat, aber es finden sich jede Menge Systeme (Netvistas, ThinkPads und Server(brauchen Sie eine AS/400?)) und Teile wie Netzwerkkarten, Monitore, Laufwerke, Controller und RAM. Ich habe in der Liste keine Software gesehen. Ich weiъ auch nicht wie sich die Preise im Vergleich zu anderen Angeboten dort verhalten, aber wenn Sie nach etwas aussergewoehnlichem suchen, ist das vielleicht der richtige Platz fuer Sie.

Auf der Homepage des Opera Webbrowser gibt es eine Umfrage ueber den Browser. OS/2 ist als moegliche Plattform vermerkt. Wenn Sie Opera moegen, dann ist es eine gute Idee dort was anzumerken.

"I've added the Sundial news groups to the newsfeed at jakesplace. Sundial Systems are the developers of such fine OS/2 software packages as Mesa, Clearlook, Relish, DBExpert, Junkspy, etc. I'm now carrying all their groups.

I've also added the recently revived OS/2 related newsgroups at IBM's news server, news.software.ibm.com."

Netcraft remembered about OS/2

Netcraft is the server which observes web-servers status.

NetCraft was detecting web-servers with os/2 installed as Compaq True64 (ex-Digital Unix). Now, it detects os/2 servers properly. This will allow to count widespread of os/2 machines in the internet.
