eCo Software is obligated to fulfil the obligations and
deliver improved shareware products. One of the methods - create additional
modules and utilities to enforce main projects.
eCo Labs is a fund to attract new developers to eComStation. We are trying
to share the income with standalone developers; stimulate the development
of new PM-controls and libraries. Moreover, we are going update the portal
for developers and enrich it with links and libraries.

New generation of eComStation operating system
uses ACPI sub-system.
The development of ACPI drivers continues
by the plan (it is updated every month).
The users need full functionality today. To accelerate the development
it's necessary attract the developers with rich experience.
What is ACPI (for young users)?
Whatsnew:
- Intel published ACPI 4.0 standard (June 16, 2009)
- ACPI Exec -- ACPI debugger. It allows access to a large quantity of
acpi internal state data without the need to resort to printf debuggeing.
- We are going publish FAQ for ACPI developers
- Many tickets are not processed
you can join the research of specific problems.
We invite interested developers to discuss and participate in development of ACPI:
Send us your contact information via web-form
Information for standalone developers is published in DevCon.
You can send technical questions.

The school year is over, the students can share
home work programs, utilities and lab-works with other students.
Let's collect all this materials at the homepage
of students and engineers.
You can select the tasks for the next year,
continue the development of math programs (Solver), 3D-viewers, etc.
Whatsnew:
- new section related to 3D
- searching programs with implemented AI algorithms (compiled for eComStation)

The existing developers who are working on the Mozilla line of products
for OS/2 and eComStation, i.e., Firefox, Thunderbird, and SeaMonkey,
are looking for help.
According to Peter Weilbacher, they no longer have the resources to
follow all the changes done to the
Mozilla code on OS/2. This has already been a problem for FF 3.5 (and
the reason why @font-face doesn't work) and will be even more true for
the version after that. In addition, Peter hasn't had a stable OS/2
enviroment over the last months, which has made building and
development hard.
If you have good C and C++ skills, you are welcome to join the team.
Please be aware that Mozilla apps are rather complex, so contributing
calls for a longer commitment and some dedication. If you are willing
to follow through with this, please use the mozilla.dev.ports.os2 news
group to contact the existing developers. The group is available at
news.mozilla.org and many other news servers.

The toolkit will be updated,
new runtime should be tested (libraries used by many modern eComStation applications)
How to reanimate old program? Replace some modules
to new libraries. For example, use LANGE for multi-language support
Updated new PM control elements (Guidelines: Additional control elements):
- Vivid listbox
- Movie stripe
- AboutDlg
SysInfo:
SysInfo/VIO,
new library to provide actual system information for developers
Whatsnew:
- More books (Catalogue of books)
- Warpin presentations (Warpin)
- More advices how to design applications (Guidelines: Application)
- Refreshed links to compilers (Compilers)
- How to success on eComStation market
- Guidelines (new: Entry field, Group box, ..)
- Fonts
- Internet libraries are updated
- New section: Vocabulary for translators
- What is dpi and how to design dialogs (Guidelines: Dialog window)
We need your feedback:
- Let's build the map of system components (Components)
- send us useful links
- share useful libraries with other developers
- how to design PM applications?
