Why do I need JFS?
A: Bootable JFS works reliable. Many people use it stable. Bootable JFS
replaces HPFS. The much bigger cache gives eCS a gigantic
performance boost needed for applications like Firefox and Open Office.
Преимущества JFS над HPFS386:
* У hpfs386 преимуществ никаких, у JFS в случае трапа есть шанс, что журнал
хоть что-то восстановит. У hpfs386 этого шанса нет.
* HPFS386 стоит дорого.
* Даже если допустить, что системный раздел с кпсс чекается мгновенно
(а это не так), то какой смысл в быстром чеке системного раздела и до
(у кого-то тут уходило) до суток - всего остального ? А ситуации когда
чекдиск не мог пройти тебе не встречались ? Три часа чекает, потом
говорит "иди нафиг, у меня памяти нет", остается только снять желтые
штаны, присесть, развести руки в стороны и сказать: "кю!"
